Beer World: Basic Brews meet Rare Finds at this Upstate NY Beer Store

Hey, Beer World. It's still snowing in April. We're gonna need some beer, bro.

When it seems like the winter/rain/general discontentment will never end, this gigantic beer store in Catskill, NY is here for you. (And it's part of a mini-chain of beer shops located all around Upstate NY.) My beer enthusiast husband, Pete, thought the selection was really solid, representing favorites like Evil Twin, Grimm, and Carton.

I was impressed by the sheer number of beers they have in stock and on draft, ready for growlers. I also appreciated the cleanliness, tidiness, brightness, and airiness of this mega beer emporium.

I found my favorite beer of the moment, Left Hand Brewing's Milk Stout Nitro, which is not necessarily a rare find, but it's very malty, creamy, and drinkable. Pete found some Founders CBS, which was a big deal because this velvety, sought-after coffee and maple imperial stout is very hard to find. They also had a wide array of imports, endless IPAs, a big selection of sour ales, and ciders, and lots of local craft breweries were well-represented.

But perhaps your tastes are as simple as mine. Maybe you'd be content sipping a Corona with a little slice of lime. Perhaps you'd rather crush an ice-cold PBR. Or maybe you're looking split a case of Lynchburg Lemonade with your mom. That's cool, friend. Beer World's got you.

This place has beer for days, from the most basic bottles and cans to the nerdiest brews. Just looking at these pictures makes me want to throw a party. Who's in?
