Since I started this site about 6 months ago, I've felt increasingly grateful that we had the chance to rebuild on my grandfather's land in the Catskills. I'm so thankful for the upstate neighbors who've welcomed my family to the area. And I am so grateful for you, Dear Reader, for following me into this beautiful corner of the world and giving me a reason to write again.

Is Pratt Rock Trail a safe #hike for kids? With steep slopes, swarms of wasps, and pet cemetery vibes, I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners.
